Chandigarh, December 24 – To provide better transport facilities to the people, Haryana Transport Minister Mr. Mool Chand Sharma said that the State Government has decided to run 190 buses under the kilometer scheme, being run by the State Government. He said that of these, 190 buses, 66 buses will soon start plying on the routes.
The Minister shared this after presiding over the meeting with the operators of 190 buses running under the kilometer scheme. Mr. Mool Chand Sharma said that these 66 buses will be run in Gurugram, Palwal and Faridabad districts. Apart from this, the remaining buses will also ply on the routes, so that the State people will not have to face any inconvenience because of the bus shortage.
He said that the bus operators, who due to any reason could not get the registration of their buses at the given time, have been asked to get the registration done at the earliest. He said that the registration of these buses will be done through RTA and if there is any problem in it, then it will also be resolved. He also directed the concerned RTA secretaries to register these buses on a priority basis.
The Minister said that the registration of the buses which is going to expire soon will also be extended by a month and a letter in this regard will also be issued to the department. He said that the bus operators have to apply for this.
He said that the operators of these 190 buses have agreed to run the bus on a rate of Rs 26.92 per kilometer.
