AICTE announces approval process for Colleges/Universities for 2020-21

Chandigarh/ Mohali 05th February: All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), New Delhi announced the Approval Process Handbook for extension of Approvals (EoA) for 11,064 existing Technical Institutions/Deemed Universities in the Country and for new upcoming institutions for the academic session 2020-21.

Submission of online applications for the session 2020-21 in respect of all approvals shall begin on 6th February and end on 29th February 2020. The last date for submission of online application with a penalty for EoA is permitted up to 5th March 2020. A physical workshop to deliberate on the new norms is being organized on 12th February at AICTE, New Delhi.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) said that the new reforms brought by AICTE in APH are a welcoming step but at the same time to save the dying Technical Institutions more aggressive reforms are required to be incorporated.
