The event showcased enthusiastic bhangra and gidda dance performances. Followed by the performances, there were some fun games as well. The students were enthralled by the entertaining and hilarious skit performed by the senior students of the Institute.
Mouthwatering snacks like Pakoras, peanuts, and revri along with tea were served which complimented the winter afternoon really well.
Elated upon seeing the efforts of the students on the event the college Principal, Mr. Sitesh Srivastav, could not hold himself from saying, “ Lohri brings us together in the warmth of the bonfire in this nippy winter enjoying with kith and klin. Lohri is an occasion to rejoice with each other and the students of the college gave in their best efforts to make it a memorable day for everyone.”
One of our students, Shivani Menon, who hails from the Southern part of the country, also said, “ Back home we celebrate Pongal and the Lohri celebrations here in Chandigarh did not make me miss Kerala, rather I cherished this beautiful festival..”
