Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan will start a donate device program for this. Also, they have created a unique ID for WhatsApp. Under this, students will now be linked to a single number.

ASSOCHAM strongly believes every student has the right to Education and due to covid protocols the education system is now totally dependent on internet and smartphones.

I highly appreciate the step taken by HP Govt for providing smart phones to the students of our state who cannot afford,” said Mr Jitender Sodhi, Chairman, ASSOCHAM Himachal Pradesh State Development Council and CMD, Ayush Group of Companies India.

“This decision can surely be beneficial to fill the gap between Rural and Urban population” he added.

It is pertinent to mention here that there is lot of students who were unable to attend online classes, as they cannot afford smart phones, the decision has brought a sigh of relief for such students and their parents as they will now be able to attend the online classes after getting smart phones from the government.

“We are going through a tough phase due to covid pandemic, but it should not affect the future of our children, as they are the future of our country. HP government has taken a good decision as there are thousands of families in Himachal who cannot afford smart phones for their children and studies of their children were being affected,” said Mr Rakesh Nagpal, Co-Chairman, ASSOCHAM Himachal Pradesh State Development Council and CEO & Founder, Alfa Chemicals.
