ASSOCHAM Delegation meets Deputy Chief Minister Haryana

New Delhi, December 23: ASSOCHAM Haryana State Council proposed a platform for industry partnership with the Haryana government to bring in new investments to the state.

The Proposal was handed over to the Deputy Chief Minister Haryana, Shri Dushyant Chautala by the ASSOCHAM delegation led by its National President Mr. Vineet Agarwal and Mr. Vijay Sharma, Chairman, ASSOCHAM Haryana State Council.

Mr. Agarwal along with other members also felicitated Deputy Chief Minister for his immense contribution towards the industrial development in the state at Haryana State Guest House, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.

The session started with the opening comments by, Mr. Vijay Sharma-Chairman Haryana State Council ASSOCHAM and Director Jindal Stainless. He said Industry is highly appreciative of various policies of the Haryana Government. We applaud the ‘Vision’, ‘Intent’ & ‘Content’ of the Haryana Government under the dynamic leadership of Hon Dep CM Saab, ASSOCHAM strongly believes as Equal Partner for Holistic Industrial Development of Industry. And ASSOCHAM Haryana council is more eager,” he said adding, “We would like to support the Government in various areas to promote Haryana as a brand like Local Skill Development, Entrepreneurship Development, MSME Finance facilitation, Tourism Development, and Investment promotions.

Mr. Vineet Agarwal, President ASSOCHAM and MD TCIL said, “ASSOCHAM is keen to support by bringing in new industry investments to the state by partnering with the government, extending support through ASSOCHAM’s national and global industry network.”

ASSOCHAM office bearers explained that an industry and investment platform can focus on furthering the industrialization process and to formulate an action plan to strategically attract investments across the sectors, targeting the national and international business fraternity, focusing on sectors such as Defence & Aerospace, Electric Vehicles, Data Centres, Renewable Energy, and Tourism, as an attempt to showcase business and investment opportunities in the state.

After hearing from the delegation, Deputy Chief Minister said, “We are committed to establishing Haryana as a competitive and favored investment destination, achieve regional development, export diversification and augment livelihood opportunities for its people through resilient economic development.”

Mr. Chautala also informed about various industrial policies to be launched soon mainly, IT startups policy facilitating in seeds funding to startups, district-level Compressed Biogas (CBG) plants to be set up in each district i.e 22 districts, state aero defense policy which is almost ready to be launched soon early new year, apart from these, land pooling policy is underway, govt. is working on industrial infra through Padma industrial parks scheme.

Minister also stated that the state has immense potential in various sectors like the renewable energy sector through wind energy in the Shivalik hills region, tourism through adventure sports like sky diving, lakes, pilgrimages, and farms, he also urged the industry to come forward and contribute in the state program called to adopt an ITIs and support in the skill development mission of the state.

Mr. Jyoti Prakash Gadia, Co – Chairman-ASSOCHAM Haryana State Council & Managing Director Resurgent India Limited- informed the CM about their activities for MSME finance facilitation and requested government support in making a center for the same.

Mr. Iqbal Singh Cheema, Co-Chair ASSOCHAM Punjab State Council & MD Punjab Film City- informed the Hon’ble minister about the Film and entertainment industry potential, seeking govt.’s support in setting up a film city in Haryana on the lines of Film City Punjab.
