Chandigarh Beat Chhattisgarh in 65th National Cricket Championship

Chandigarh/ Amarjit: Captains knock by Jashan Beniwal 44 runs in 32 balls including 2 huge sixes & four fours enabled Chandigarh beat Chhattisgarh by  31  runs in the  65th School National Cricket tournament held at Daman & Diu (UT) here today organized by Ministry of HRD & School games federation of India (SGFI ) & recognized by Ministry of Sports, Govt.of India. Jashan Beniwal of Chandigarh was declared man of the Match award.
Batting first Chandigarh team scored 125 for 8 in allotted 18 overs. Captain Jashan Beniwal scored 44 runs in 32 balls & Bhavesh Saini scored 37 runs in 29 balls & Ansh Khosla scored 17 not out runs. Chhattisgarh leg Spinner Bowler Prem Kumar Pandey claimed 7 wickets for 16 runs & Om Singh claimed 1 wicket for 28 runs.
In reply, the Chhattisgarh team could not chase the target of 125 runs because Chandigarh both left-arm Spinners, Ansh Khosla,  Paras & l right arm spinner  Sohail & Vijay pal Singh has given accurate line & length bowling spelks from Chandigarh side & they restrict Chhattisgarh team only 94 runs 18 overs. Chhattisgarh batsman Rahul Pradhan scored 21 unbeaten, Harsh Chandra Kar scored 17 & Anurag Sahu scored 17 runs. for Chandigarh bowling side Sohail claimed 2 wickets for 4 runs. Ansh Khosla & Vijay Pal claimed 1 wicket each.
