COVID-19: Haryana’s Anganwadi Centres Closed Till March 31, 2020


Chandigarh, March 18- Haryana Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Mrs. Kamlesh Dhanda said that the state government has decided to close the Anganwadi Centres across the state with immediate effect till March 31, 2020, to tackle the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

          She said that the step has been taken keeping in view the safety of the children.

          She said that during this period, the Anganwadi Workers and Helpers will come to Anganwadi Centres to perform record maintenance, cleaning and create awareness through home visits about maintaining hygiene to tackle COVID-19.

          The raw home ration will be distributed as per the nutritional and financial norms prescribed by the Government of India during this period.
