New Delhi, CCS News: In this Covid era, where people are not only looking for oxygen cylinders, hospital beds, ventilators, covid related medicines ,etc. but also falling prey to unethical human practices and, thus bringing shame to humanity, whereas, the N.S.S. Unit of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College (University of Delhi) is working day and night for its mission to save humanity.
Understanding the situations of Covid-19 , NSS volunteers of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College( University of Delhi) started a campaign- Mission Save Humanity where they have been providing verified sources of oxygen cylinders, hospital beds, ventilator beds, ICU beds, doctor contacts, ambulances services, plasma, free food contacts and other important covid related medicines, to covid affected people and their relatives.
More than 20 N.S.S. volunteers have been working for 13-14 hours a day for gathering, disseminating and propagating the verified leads.
In the last 30 days, volunteers have helped more than 700+ covid affected people in Delhi NCR region through this initiative. Volunteers are using all social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook ,and WhatsApp for this very purpose.
NSS and its team believes that in the face of this global adversity, our health care and frontline workers have been silently standing firm as our first line of defence. They have been acting as our sheild and preserving every life, just as they should and most of the times, even at the cost of their own lives. So simultaneously, it is our duty to use our available weapon of youth and aid people in dire need.
For this mankind intiative, volunteers are getting much needed blessings via calls, which makes them even more committed towards helping people.
