Dev Samaj College For Women:  Face Painting, Blood Donation Camp And Other Activities Held

Chandigarh/ November 8, 2019: 169th Birth Anniversary of Bhagwan Dev Atma, the founder of Dev Samaj, was celebrated today at Dev Samaj College for Women, Sector-45/B, Chandigarh. A number of activities and competitions were held to showcase the life and teachings of Bhagwan Dev Atma. In keeping with his altruistic message, a blood donation camp was organized in which more than 72 students came forward to donate blood. A face painting competition was also held. The blood donation camp and face painting competition was organized by the Red Ribbon Club in collaboration with Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society and the NSS unit of the college.

Rangoli, Poster Making and Essay Writing competitions highlighting the importance of blood donation and environment conservation were organized. JAM (Just -A-Minute) session was organized on the values propagated by Bhagwan Dev Atma, and a Declamation Contest was held on Bhagwan Dev Atma’s contribution to women empowerment.

Principal, Dr.Meena Chopra, welcomed the Chief Guest, Dr. Sanjay Kaushik, Dean, College Development Council, and the Guests of Honour, ShrimanNirmal Singh Ji Dhillon, Secretary, Dev Samaj, and Dr. Agnese Dhillon, Principal, Dev Samaj College of Education. Dr. Kaushik congratulated the college and students for this endeavor to reiterate the altruistic ideal of Bhagwan Dev Atma. Dr. Shiva Malik, the convenor, thanked everyone for making the celebration such a success.
