Chandigarh: On the eve of World Photography Day, Tricity Photo Art Society(TPAS) Members’ 5th Annual Exhibition of Photographs DRISHTI-2019 starts today at Govt. Museum and Art Gallery, Chandigarh. Three day exhibition will remain open for public till 18th August. Earlier, Chief Minister of Punjab Capt. Amarinder Singh had very kindly consented to inaugurate the exhibition on but due to a health issue, he could not attend. World Photography Day celebrates every year on 19th August.

    TPAS is organizing Drishti-2019 Photo- Exhibition continuously since 2015 every year on World Photography Day. This year, 58 displayed works of 36 members in the gallery will be a blend of work of National and International level photo-artists and new Diploma Students who have just started photography. Apart from this, two photographs taken by the Chief Guest will also grace the exhibition. In this big exhibition of photographs, you can see color as well as monochrome pictures on different subjects of photography such as portraiture, aerial, nature, landscape, street life, photo-journalism, digital manuopolution, wildlife, still life.

   During every Drishti Exhibitions, Tpas organizes free Photography Workshops for the benefit of students & photo enthusiasts of the region. This time we are conducting 5 workshops cum slide lectures on different topics like still life, portraiture, aerial landscape, landscape photography, nature photography during three days exhibition.
