Haryana CM Inaugurated the Knowledge and Research Center at GEPIL-Haryana, Faridabad

Chandigarh/ January 15 – Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal today inaugurated the Knowledge and Research Center at GEPIL-Haryana, Faridabad.

Giving information, an official spokesperson said that this integrated general hazardous waste management treatment, storage, and disposal facility is located in the Stone Crusher Zone in Pali, District Faridabad.

The objective of this project is to provide scientific and effective solutions for the protection of the environment through hazardous waste. The facility includes safe landfill cells, common hazardous waste incineration plants, alternative fuel processing facilities, storage sheds, laboratories, etc.

The land for this project has been allotted by the Haryana Environment Department. The project is spread over a 31-acre of land at an estimated cost of Rs 25 crore. The new Knowledge and Research Center has been built at an estimated cost of Rs 2.5 crore. The project has been approved by the state government and the Haryana State Pollution Control Board.
