Haryana CM Showered Bonanza of Projects towards Panchkula Development

Chandigarh, Panchkula, June 10: While showering a bonanza of development upon the people of the district, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of four development projects worth more than Rs 155.15 crore for district Panchkula through video conferencing from Haryana Niwas, Chandigarh today. This included inauguration of one project costing Rs 5.18 crore and foundation stone of three projects worth Rs 149.97 crore.

Sh Manohar Lal inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development projects worth more than Rs 1100 crore for various districts through video conferencing today.

Development projects of district Panchkula-

Sh. Manohar Lal inaugurated Kalyan Bhawan in Sector-2 constructed at a cost of more than Rs. 5.18 crore. Apart from this, he laid the foundation stone of Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Block and Service Block to be constructed in the premises of Civil Hospital, Sector-6 Panchkula at a cost of Rs 93.97 crore, Malaria Office building to be constructed in the premises of Civil Hospital Sector-6 Panchkula at a cost of Rs 7.03 crore and widening and strengthening work of Mauli Chowk-Raipurrani- Bhurewala road at a cost of Rs 48.97 crore.

Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Sh Gian Chand Gupta, on behalf of Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of these projects in a district level program organized at PWD Rest House, Sector-1 here. Chairman, Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation, Sh. Pawan Kumar Kharkhoda, Mayor, Kulbhushan Goyal, Director General, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare Department, Smt. Renu S. Phulia and Deputy Commissioner Sh. Vinay Pratap Singh were also present on this occasion.

Speaker , Vidhan Sabha Sh. Gian Chand Gupta while thanking Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal for dedicating new development projects to the residents of district Panchkula said that today is a very significant day in the history of development of the district. He said that a day earlier, the Chief Minister had announced the formation of Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority (PMDA) in this same auditorium, paving the way for the setting up of Educity, Medicity, Film City in Panchkula. The Chief Minister had also made several other announcements for the development of Panchkula district, including the introduction of adventure sports in Morni to further promote tourism in the area and strengthening of roads.  

Sh. Gupta said that it is a matter of pride for Panchkula that Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has today laid the foundation stone of a Maternal and Child Health Block in Civil Hospital, Sector-6 with a capacity of 200 additional beds. With this, the capacity of this block would be further increased to 500 beds. Panchkula is probably the first district in the state to have a 500-bed capacity Maternal and Child Health Block, he added.

Sh. Gupta further said that the Maternal and Child Health Block would be constructed at a cost of about Rs 94 crore and this work is likely to be completed within two years. He said that this Health Block would be 11 storeyed which would be the tallest building in Panchkula as well as tricity. He said that it would have 3 basements and 8 floors. Apart from this, a 4 storeyed service block would also be constructed in the hospital premises.

Sh. Gupta said that inauguration and foundation stone of three more development projects have been made today. He directed that these works should be completed in a time bound manner and quality of works should be duly maintained. He said that it has always been the endeavor of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal that a transparent and corruption-free administration should be made available to the people.

Referring to COVID-19, Sh. Gupta said that as a result of the efforts of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal and with the cooperation of people, the cases of Corona have reduced significantly. Despite this, we do not have to take Corona lightly and strictly follow the guidelines issued by the Central and State Government from time to time. He appealed to the people to use masks whenever they leave the house and maintain a distance of two yards.

Earlier in his welcome address, Deputy Commissioner Sh. Vinay Pratap Singh welcomed the Chief Guest of the program Sh. Gian Chand Gupta and other guests and informed about the new development projects of district Panchkula.

Imran Raza, SDM Richa Rathi, Civil Surgeon Jasjeet Kaur, BJP District President Ajay Sharma, former District President Deepak Sharma, District General Secretary Virendra Rana, Councilor and Vice President Harendra Malik, Councilor Jai Kaushik, senior Party worker Shyamlal Bansal and BJP Media in-charge Naveen Garg and other dignitaries.
