Haryana Education Minister launched the ‘Sampark Baithak’ mobile application for Children Studying in Primary Schools

Chandigarh, April 23 – Haryana Education Minister, Mr. Kanwar Pal, today launched the ‘Sampark Baithak’ mobile application for the convenience of children studying in primary schools of Haryana. This application will also work offline. During lockdown this will give the children the opportunity to study from home.

After launching this application from Yamunanagar today, the Education Minister said that now children studying in Haryana Government Schools will be able to study for fun through the mobile app. The curriculum of Class V has been made simple and interesting through cartoons and films, he added. He said that this app will prove beneficial especially for the students of Hindi medium schools. Apart from teachers, parents, children, this application can also be used by the Education Department, he said. He also informed that, letters and information related to all the guidelines issued by the Department will also be available on this app.

Giving details about the ‘Sampark Baithak’ mobile application, he said that the application has about 500 videos and audios of various concepts. Mathematics has been explained in a tangible manner and a lot of stories and poems and phonic practices are available in Hindi. With this application, it will be easy for children to read and write English as well, he added.

The Education Minister said that teachers can share the work done in their school with other teachers and can also take suggestions through the app. He said that the ‘Sampark Baithak’ is a platform that looks like Facebook, on which teachers will be given points for commenting, liking, posting etc. and they will also be given a certificate to encourage them.

He told that the parents can install this application on their mobiles and sit with their children and show them videos related to the curriculum and children can continue to study during the lockdown. The children can use the worksheets available to practice while their progress is monitored on the app simultaneously, he added.  He said that the Education Department can also monitor the progress of teachers through this application.

The Education Minister also informed that all information like departmental circulars and necessary data can be shared with everyone through ‘Sampark Baithak’ mobile application if required. He said that this application can also be used for online training, thereby saving time and expenses incurred in teaching and training.

District Education Officer, Yamunanagar, Mr. Jogendra Hooda was also present on the occasion of the launch.
