Haryana extends the validity of Private Security Agency licenses till December 2020

Chandigarh, September 15 – In a major relief to operators of Private Security Agencies, the Controlling Authority of Haryana has extended the validity till December 31, 2020, of all licenses issued under the Haryana Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005 which were expiring between April 1st, 2020 and December 31, 2020.

          Giving this information here today, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Mr. Navdeep Singh Virk, who is also the Controlling Authority of Haryana Private Security Agencies said that taking into consideration the present circumstances and the hardships faced by the general public and private security agency operators, this step has been taken.

          It is worthwhile to mention that Haryana Police has already granted licenses to over 1050 private security agencies while more than 140 licenses have been renewed after the enactment of the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act in the year 2006 in the country.
