Haryana on High Alert – To Prevent Dengue

Chandigarh, September 15 – Haryana Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij said that Health Department and all Medical Colleges have been asked to remain on ‘High Alert’ to prevent the spread of dengue. For this, all necessary medicines were being sent to hospitals.

The directions have been issued to install machines in all districts to check dengue and purchase new such machines wherever required. This would not only help in timely diagnosis of patients but they would get treatment on time.

The health officers have been directed to carryout fogging in all villages, towns and cities and to start.public awareness campaigning through advertisements regarding dengue and malaria and also to educate children about various ways to prevent dengue and malaria.

The platelets separator machines have been installed in Panchkula and Gurgaon to facilitate patients suffering from dengue and malaria. Also, all Medical Colleges of the State have been directed to carryout treatment of such patients coming to their institutes on priority basis.

The dengue mosquitoes are born in stagnant water. Therefore, all Deputy Commissioners have been asked to run total sanitation campaign in their respective districts so as to prevent the growth of larvae. He also urged the people of the State to ensure cleanliness in their surroundings and do not let water to stand at one place.
