Chandigarh, April 23: In a major break-through, Haryana Police has busted an inter-state narcotic drug racket and arrested three persons in this connection from the Sirsa district. The police also recovered 900 grams of heroin that was to be supplied in Rajasthan and Punjab areas, besides Ellenabad in Sirsa.

Giving this information here today, the Haryana Police spokesperson informed that the value of the recovered heroin in the international market is worth crores of rupees.
The arrested accused were identified as Amandeep Singh, a native of Punjab, Gurmeet Singh of Rajasthan, and Nanak Singh, a resident of Ellenabad in Sirsa.
Initial investigation revealed that they had brought the seized contraband from Delhi for supply in Rajasthan, Punjab, and Ellenabad areas. One each case under NDPS Act had already been registered against Amandeep and Gurmeet Singh. It has also been revealed that the arrested accused were involved in the drug trafficking trade in Haryana, Punjab, and Rajasthan areas for a long time.
A police team of Anti-Narcotic Cell was conducting checking of vehicles at a Naka on Hisar road area. Based on suspicion, the police stopped a car and when searched, recovered 900 grams of heroin from the possession of the arrested accused.
A Case under NDPS Act was registered against them and further investigation to ascertain the name of others involved in this network of drug-peddling is underway.
