Haryana Police Arrested ATM Looter Landu from Palwal

Chandigarh, July 10 – In a major breakthrough, Haryana Police has arrested a person hailing from Utawar in Palwal, who is wanted by Madhya Pradesh Police in an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) loot incident. Police has also recovered a country made pistol and live cartridge from his possession.

          While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that arrested accused was identified as Lateef alias Landu, a resident of Utawar, Police Station Bahin in district Palwal. He was arrested by Anti Vehicle Theft team following a tip off. Madhya Pradesh Police has announced a reward of Rs 25,000 on his arrest.

          During preliminary interrogation, it was revealed that accused used to break ATMs with the help of a gas cutter and take out the cash. He wanted by Madhya Pradesh Police in an ATM break case in district Nimach. A cash reward of Rs 25000 was declared on his arrest. Apart from this, five other cases were also registered against him. He was also declared a proclaimed offender by the Court.

          Accused was produced before the Court, which sent him judicial custody. Further investigation is underway.
