‘Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HRIDC)’ Formed in Haryana

Chandigarh, April 15–With a view to strengthening the rail network and ensuring its speedy progress, a new joint venture company with the Ministry of Railways, namely ‘Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HRIDC), has been formed under the Companies Act, 2013.

            Giving details, Mr. Rajiv Jain, Media Advisor to the Haryana Chief Minister, said here today that the main aim of the HRIDC was to expedite the railway and infrastructure projects and their implementation and ensure better coordination with the government.

        The HRIDC has initiated the process of preparation of feasibility reports of seven new rail projects, namely (i) 91-km-long Yamunanagar-Chandigarh via Naraingarh and Sadhaura (ii)  104-km-long Delhi-Sohna-Nuh-Ferozepur Zhirka Alwar, (iii) 73-km FarukhanagarJhajjar-Charkhi Dadri, (iv) 46-km Jind-Hansi, (v) 58-km Bhiwani- Loharu,  (vi) 66-km Karnal-Yamunanagar and (vii) 10-km railway sliding project, Manesar.

            While preparing these reports, the government has given due priority to the demands of the people, he added.
