Chandigarh/ March 13 – In a major crackdown, Haryana Special Task Force (STF) has seized 66,240 banned medicines and arrested two persons who were in the possession of these tablets in Kurukshetra district. Besides, Police have also confiscated 40 boxes of illicit liquor.
While stating this here today, a spokesperson of Haryana Police said that a team of STF had recovered 57,600 tablets of Alprazolam and 8,640 tablets of Tramadol from the possession two persons identified both as a resident of Thaska Mirza, police station, Ismailabad, Kurukshetra.
The STF Ambala team has recovered banned tablets in huge quantities and 40 boxes of country-made illicit liquor following a raid at the house of accused.
Both have been booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and further investigation are underway.
