Hon’ble Haryana Governor and CM Inaugurate A Digital Exhibition on Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in Kurukshetra

Chandigarh/ Kurukshetra/ December 03, 2019: Hon’ble Governor of Haryana Shri Satyadeo Narain Arya, Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Manohar Lal and Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated a Digital Exhibition on Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji organized by Regional Outreach Bureau, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India in Kurukshetra, Haryana today.

The five-day digital exhibition is organized at the ongoing International Gita Mahotsav, Kurukshetra as part of celebrations of 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Devji. The Exhibition is open for all, during December 03-07, 2019. The Digital Exhibition showcases the life, philosophy, teachings, and travels of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji in an interactive digital manner. Digital Photo Panels of Gurudwaras related to Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji are also displayed in the Exhibition. A mini theatre to showcase films on Udasis (travels) of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji is also developed as part of the exhibition for visitors.

The five-day exhibition is an attempt to spread the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji and his message of ‘One God’ who dwells in each one of His creations and constitutes the eternal Truth – “Ek Noor Tey Sab Jag Upjeya Kaun Bhaley Ko Mandey”. On the sidelines of the Exhibition, various activities such as Shabad kirtan, drawing competition & quiz competition are scheduled to engage the students & youth.

As part of celebrations related to the 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Digital Exhibitions were also organized earlier by Regional Outreach Bureau, Ministry of I&B, Government of India at Sultanpur Lodhi in Punjab &Kullu in Himachal Pradesh in the region.

Also present on the occasion were officials of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting Smt. Devpreet Singh, ADG (Region), Shri Ashish Goyal, Director, and Shri Anuj Chandak, Deputy Director.
