Chandigarh/ 22nd December, 2019: In the vision of the Chandigarh Defence Acadamy, Vision 2022, a campaign has been started to connect the youth of Punjab once again with the Armed Forces of the country and the youth of Punjab who is currently only in the race to go abroad. The number of youth going from Punjab has come down to very low, a campaign named ” Videsh nu nahi. Desh nau challo” has also been launched by Chandigarh Defence Academy.
Minster Randhawa also announced a sum of Rs 5 lac from his funds to the Chandigarh Defence Academy and offered free land for the noble cause Academy is extending to society.
Under this campaign, children of martyrs’ families, meritorious children living in orphanages and well-to-do students living below the poverty line and single mother’s children, scholarship of about 1 lakh 80 thousand from Chandigarh Defence Academy will be given. Apart from this, it has been announced to give a scholarship of about 90 thousand rupees to the children of retired Armed Forces soldiers and officers and those students of Punjab who have scored more than 80% marks in the tenth standard.
Chandigarh Defence Academy is trying to get Punjab once again the same place in the country’s Armed Forces and Defence Services which used to be Punjab a few years back. In the name of Punjab, there are so many prestigious defense awards like Five Paramvir Chakra, 40 Mahavir Chakra, 209 Veer Chakra, in the last few years, the Punjab which used to contribute the most in the Armed Forces and Defence Services of the country, now the number has come down very low.

Soon the Chandigarh Defence Academy will start a campaign all over Punjab and the youth of Punjab who is going abroad and wasting their talent will be explained that the NDA is not only a good career but the glorious history of the country’s Armed Forces and Defence Services. There is also a golden opportunity to join and serve the country. The Chandigarh Defence Academy, with the support of the Punjab government, will soon try to regain the status of Punjab in the country’s defense services, which Punjab has a distinct identity about itself.
