Chandigarh, 14 November- To mark the celebration of Universal Children’s Day also known as International Day for Child Rights on the November 20, 2019, Haryana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights(HSCPCR) will organize a Poster Making and Slogan Writing competition in all the 22 districts of Haryana on the topic: ‘Hera Bachpan Mera Adhikar’.
Sharing more information in this regard, HSCPCR Chairperson, Mrs. Jyoti Bainda said that as Children, generally use different ways of expressing themselves and make meaning out of the world around them. Drawing and painting are powerful tools used to enhance children’s communication skills, therefore the Poster Making and Slogan Writing competition will be held so that the children can become aware and aware of their rights.
She said that the children from all private, government schools, Child Care Institutions (CCI), Observation Homes, Special home and Place of Safety are invited to participate in this competition. The competition will be held in two phases, in the first phase three winners will be chosen in each district and the felicitation ceremony will be held on Children’s Day i.e November 14, 2019, in each district and 3-3 winners have already been selected from each district. While in the second phase, all the winning entries from the 22 districts will compete on a state level.
The Chairperson, further informed that she along with her team will select the three winning entries from all the districts and the award ceremony will take place on November 20, 2019. She said that the children who bagged first, second and third positions in the first phase of the competition were given a cash prize of Rs. 1100, 700 and 500 respectively. Similarly, the first, second and third winners of the second phase will be given cash prizes of the cash amount of Rs 5100, 4100 and 3100 respectively along with certificates.
