ICIB & British Deputy High Commission Chandigarh to work on India UK relations

Chandigarh: Indian Chamber of International Business (ICIB) and The British Deputy High Commission Chandigarh discussed the bilateral partnership between India & UK to enhance the Auto, Textile, and Sports sectors especially in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. The special focus is the agriculture sector viz. Agritech, plant sciences, animal genetics & nutrition, aquaculture, and precision agriculture. ICIB President Mr. Manpreet Singh emphasized the importance of technologies from British companies and how they can enhance the productivity and yield of Indian farmers.

He was accompanied by Mr. Inder Iqbal Singh Atwal the Vice President-Elect for the northern region of ICIB. H.E. Ms. Carolyne Rowett, the Consul General, and British Deputy High commissioner assured her support to Indian Businesses especially in the sectors related to Agriculture, Hand tools, Garments / Hosiery, and the Bicycle industry in addition to other relevant sectors. Mr. Manpreet Singh presented Consul General Rowett with the traditional handwoven stole made by the tribals from Nagaland and explained the importance to support the traditional crafts of India.
