Kalarapati Tiger Skin Seized in Chhattisgarh

Nuapada, Prasanta Kumar Bhuyan, 12/07/2020: A man has been arrested in connection with a joint raid by Chhattisgarh police and the Chhattisgarh Forest Department near Indaga in Chhattisgarh, bordering Nuapada district. The arrested person is identified as Sanya Bagh of Nangalbod village, Sinapali police station, Nuapada district. According to sources, the Chhattisgarh Forest Department and the Police Department were near Dhobenal in Talakot Road on the Odisha border. Sanyag Bagh, who was waiting for the customer there, was detained. The white bag he had was found to contain the skin of a black tiger. He was arrested and handed over to the Forest Department under Section 182 of the Wildlife Conservation Act. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
