LS 2019: Campaign Slot Allotment to Haryana Political Parties on DD/AIR

Chandigarh, April 29- In view of elections to be held on May 12, 2019 for 10 seats of Lok Sabha in the state, Haryana Chief Electoral Officer, Mr Rajeev Ranjan said that time has been allotted to registered political parties namely  Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), Indian National Congress (INC), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), for election campaigning on Doordarshan from May 1 to May 3, 2019 and All India Radio on May 6 and May 7, 2019.

          He said that INLD has given time slot of 50 minutes and 40 minutes, on Doordarshan and All India Radio, respectively, while BJP got 10 minutes each, BSP and INC got 5 minutes each on Doordarshan and All India Radio, respectively. Congress party had not applied to take time on Doordarshan.

          He said that three time slots of 10 minutes each has been allotted to BSP, BJP and INLD of National Level from 4 pm to 4.30 pm on Doordarshan from May 1 to 3, 2019. On May 1, 2019, BJP has been allotted time slot 4.10 pm to 4.20 pm while INLD time slot of 4 pm to 4.10 pm and 4.20 pm to 4.30 pm. Similarly, on May 2, 2019, INLD has been allotted time slot of 4 pm to 4.10 pm and 4.10 pm to 4.20 pm and BSP from 4.20 pm to 4.30 pm for election campaigning. On May 3, 2019, INLD has been allotted time slot from 4 pm to 4.10 pm.

          He said that on May 6 and 7, 2019, time has been fixed from 1.20 pm to 2 pm at All India Radio, Rohtak. In which, the broadcast schedule of INLD would be from 1.20 pm to 1.30 pm and 1.50 pm to 2 pm on May 6, while the broadcast schedule of BSP would be from 1.30 pm to 1.40 pm and for BJP it would be from 1.40 pm to 1.50 pm. Similarly, on May 7, 2019, the broadcast time of INLD would be from 1.20 pm to 1.30 pm and 1.30 pm to 1.40 pm and for INC from to 1.40 pm to 1.50 pm.

          The Chief Electoral Officer said that on May 1 and 2, 2019, recording of political parties would be done from 10 am to 5 pm at All India Radio, Rohtak. He said that the allotment of time slots was done in the presence of representatives of political parties on April 9, 2019, through a draw of lots.
