Chandigarh May 8: Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana Mr. Rajeev Ranjan said that two toll-free numbers 1800 180 4815 and 1950 have been started to receive any type of complaint during the Lok Sabha Election to be held in the State on May 12, 2019.
Mr Ranjan said that in case a person found anything wrong, he could contact on these numbers. Immediate action would be taken on his complaint, he added.
He said that in case any candidate or political party tries either to intimidate any voter or lure him, he could call 1950 or upload any related photo, video or complaint on c-VIGIL app. Swift action would be taken by the team of Election Commission on his complaint, said the Chief Electoral Officer.
Mr. Ranjan said that in case cash, gold or other valuable items of an individual are seized, he could make an appeal in this regard. For this, committees have been constituted in all districts of the State under the Chairmanship of CEO, Zila Parishad from where the owner could take back his valuables and other items after getting check all necessary documents. He said that after the announcement of the elections so far, illegal liquor, drugs, and other items worth more than Rs 23 crore has been seized in the State. These included cash and liquor worth Rs 6 crore each and drugs of Rs 9 crore.
