National Modern Contemporary Sculpture Organized a National Level Camp

Chandigarh, August 16 – Haryana Art and Cultural Affairs  Department will organize a national level camp based on National Modern Contemporary Sculpture for providing a golden opportunity to the artists of the state to showcase their artistic excellence. This camp will be held from August 26 to September 10, 2019, at Mata Mansa Devi premises, Panchkula. All those artists who are desirous of participating in this camp can fill the relevant form or submit their bio-data to the Department by August 20, 2019.
          Giving information, a spokesperson of the Haryana Art and Cultural Affairs Department said that an opportunity to showcase talent is being provided by the Department of Arts and Cultural Affairs in this camp to all the sculptors of the state, who are skilled in making five to ten feet modern abstract sculptures in stone.
          He informed that budding young artists (sculptors) of the state could participate in this national level camp. The forms were recently issued by the department for registration of artists, in which a lot of artists have already been registered. Artists who have not been able to submit their forms could register themselves at the office of the department at the earliest to get the opportunity to participate in the camp.
          The spokesman said that the interested sculptor can contact by telephone on 0170-5059158 and on e-mail artandculturalaffairshry@gmail.com for registration. He said that it will not be possible to give any kind of support to artists who do not register themselves in this department. All artists should make their biodata available in the department by August 20, 2019, for participating in the camp.
          He said that the artists who want to participate in the camp should have a minimum qualification of BFA and experience of sculpturing of national level. As many as 10 sculptors will be selected by the department. He said that this is a unique art camp and the sculptures made in this camp will display the art and culture of Haryana.
