Panchkula, January 03: Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh Gian Gupta said that Covid-19 vaccination campaign for children in the age group of 15 to 18 years has started today, the online registration of which has already commenced on Cowin app from January 1, 2022. Apart from this, the facility of on-site registration has also been started from today, he added.

Sh Gupta gave this information after launching Covid-19 vaccination campaign for children of 15 to 18 years in the district at Urban Health Center, Sector-16 here today.

40,000 children in district Panchkula comes in the age group of 15 to 18 years

He said that in Panchkula, initially free vaccination is being done at 15 Government institutions- Government Dispensary Sector-11, 21 and 26, Urban Health Center Sector-16, Urban Dispensary Sector-19, Urban Polyclinic Pinjore, SDH Kalka, CHC Nanakpur, CHC Raipurrani, Primary Health Center Old Panchkula, Surajpur, Morni, Barwala, Hangola and Kot. He said that slots can be booked on the app for vaccinating children using Aadhar card, passport and any other identity card.

Booster dose for Health care workers, front line warriors and people above 60 years of age suffering from other serious diseases from January 10: Gupta

Sh Gupta said that about 40,000 children in district Panchkula come in the age group of 15 to 18 years and Covaxin has been made the vaccine option for them. He said that apart from children, health care workers, front line warriors and people above 60 years of age suffering from other serious diseases will be given a booster dose from January 10 as a precautionary measure. It is not mandatory to present a doctor’s prescription and certificate at the center for precautionary dosage, said Sh Gupta adding that a reminder message will be sent to all the people for the precautionary dose of Covid and the dose will be reflected in the digital vaccination certificate.
